Mayweather Looking Forward To McGregor Fight

Nate Diaz Conor Mc Gregor fight this year

Floyd Mayweather says he has given the public what they want by agreeing to come out of retirement to face Conor McGregor on August 26.

"As with every Mayweather and McGregor fight part of the appeal is the spectacle and outsize personalities who are participating in it", Showtime Sports' Stephen Espinoza said, as quoted on The Independent. They asked for this fight.

The fight is expected to take place at the T-Mobile Arena, however, earlier today it was reported by TMZ that the rapper Ice Cube had already booked the venue for his BIG3 basketball league on August 26.

And with ticket prices and pay-per-view costs expected to be significantly higher, the bout could also top Mayweather vs Pacquiao, and make $1bn (£0.78bn) in revenue. "I'm fans of both sports but they're their own individual sports and they should stick to their own". "He's very happy, I'm very happy, and I can't wait".

I'm not entirely sure who these people are, but they're out there somewhere.

Despite that, he still has a significant upper hand since McGregor has never had a professional boxing match.

"You're supposed to stand behind your man. Stand behind the fighter that you believe in", Mayweather said about McGregor's supporters.

So after months of going back and forth, it's all the more surprising that Mayweather's initial comments following the fight's official announcement this week were relatively mild, even respectful of his MMA-trained opponent.

LENNOX LEWIS has slammed Conor McGregor's combat showdown with Floyd Mayweather, insisting he "can't take it serious".

"I can not say I'm a fan of it", Hatton told BBC Radio 5 live's Sportsweek programme.
